"It's the final countdown!" - we have heard this for years from the Europe rock band. Today, it is also true when it comes to the Enea 5150 Warsaw. Today, March 2, in the very heart of the city of Warsaw, a special countdown clock has been launched. Enea 5150 Warsaw is just 100 days away. And counting...
- Both triathletes and the city of Warsaw can be described as dynamic, versatile and persistent. I am very glad the organizers of 5150 Warsaw can see this potential and the race is back in the city in 2017. It is an honor for us to be one of the host cities to the most prestigious triathlon competition in the world – says Renata Kaznowska, vice-president of the city of Warsaw.
The organizers, led by the race director Michał Drelich, seem to be excited as well:
- I feel as if all the excitement after the debut 5150 Warsaw was still in the air, although we are now counting down 100 days to another one. This year we have enriched the event schedule with a relay competition for teams of three as well as the IRONKIDS race for our youngest triathletes. The countdown clock which stays at the foot of the monumental Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw is going to remind ourselves, the organizers, but also all the citizens of the coming event. I really hope it will also become a touristic attraction and a popular "selfie spot" – says Michał Drelich.
